KOCHI: City-based training and networking solutions provider TimeNet has started CpocLab (Customer Proof of Concept Lab) here. Through CpocLab, the corporate clients will get a chance to see the demo of major IT products and technologies.
“Students can learn networking using multi-vendor technologies in a real-time environment rather than using conventional class room training methods. Major technologies and products in this lab are from Cisco, Microsoft, IBM and Tyco,” said K V Manoj, director, TimeNet, at a press conference.
“The idea of CpocLab evolved from a requirement to demonstrate all technologies needed by the clients to pilot run before they could run them at their premises,” he said.
CpocLab Level 1 includes three certification courses - CCNA, CCNP and MCTS. It includes topics like wireless, surveillance, voice over IP, e-mail, web servers and monitoring, which are common in any IT infrastructure.
“Students will not learn it in a room but in the CpocLab, in real time. Students will be implementing these requirements from the scratch in the CpocLab locations,” Manoj said.
