Cancer prevention should commence from the kitchen and there is not need for adequate preparations, said cancer expert Thomas Varghese of Lakeshore Hospital. He was inaugurating the one-day workshop on detection of cancer organised under the aegis of National Service Scheme of Cochin University of Science and Technolgy

Cancer is a serious global concern and India or Kerala does not become different. The most common among cancer diseases is uterine cancer. Today treatment is available for cancer and it is not the end of life. If detected early it can be cured completely, he said.
