Nurses’ stir called off

Following the talks held here on Friday, the nurses of Mother Hospital, Thrissur, have called off their strike.

Mohammed Basheer, counsel for the management of Mother Hospital announced that all the nurses would be reinstated.

“The suspension of the 15 nurses would be extended to one month. But they will be paid a month’s remuneration. He said that the nurses of Mother Hospital would have to work for 12 days without salary whereas, the striking nurses of other hospitals would have to work for three days without remuneration.

United Nurses Association state secretary Sudeep Krishna confirmed that the management has agreed to reinstate the nurses who went on  a strike with the minimal disciplinary action.
