The HC has directed the Edathala grama panchayat to grant building permits in the safety zone at Naval Armament Depot in Aluva, only after obtaining specific permission from the court. Justice PR Ramachandra Menon issued the directive while considering the petition filed by NAD seeking a directive to the state and Dist Collector to freeze all construction/repair/alteration work in safety zone.
