Nurses flay draconian PSC rules

The United Nurses Association has staged a protest in front of the DMO office against the “draconian” PSC rules regarding the nursing sector.

The association members said nursing graduates, who have studied non-science subjects, could not apply for PSC posts despite having Kerala registration. The state has opportunities for such people. But the irony was that they could not work here, they alleged.

The UNA said this would only create unemployable nurses. This would in turn help private hospital managements exploit the situation.  Binto Mangalassery, state treasurer, UNA, inaugurated the protest.
