KRA seminar to be held today

Kerala Realtors Association (KRA), the State wide wing of National Association of Realtors - India (NAR) will organise a seminar at IMA Hall here on October 3 as part of streamlining and promoting the profession of real estate brokerage in India. This is to achieve transparency, accountability, fair dealing and ethical practices for overall good governance in the industry.

NAR-India president Sachin Shroff said that the Association has been trying hard to streamline real estate business and to bring in professionalism that is lacking among today’s brokers. If a real estate broker wants to be certified by NAR-India, he/she has to submit various documents required by the Association and provide references besides taking up the certification test online.

NAR-India enables brokers to connect with brokers at national and International level and with various cities across the world. It helps in networking with various other cities and there by increases business and at the same time complies with the need of buyers.

Apart from the seminars, KRA offers educational courses for newcomers. He pointed out that the real estate industry is unorganised. For a healthy growth, those in this sector should be aware of the market conditions.

Realtors should be able to give proper guidance to the investors and they should also give inputs on what the industry needs.

Infrastructure development is the driving force of the economy and for the growth of real estate industry the government polices should focus on development and creation of more jobs.

When the price of the land increases, investors tend to look into other places where they can get good returns, he said.
