A seven-member team, including teachers, scientists and students of SCMS School of Engineering and Technology (SSET), Karukutty, will participate in a week-long training session and workshop on Water Technology Management to be organised by the University of Applied Sciences - Ravensburg, Weingarten, Germany.
The SCMS School of Engineering and Technology (SSET) has established a separate division, SSET Centre for Research & Innovation in Engineering & Technology, for research, consultancy and training in various streams of engineering and technology.
The division has taken up an internationally-funded joint research project in Sustainable Water Technology Management in association with the University of Applied Sciences - Ravensburg, Weingarten, Germany.
“We have already completed the preliminary research activities at SSET campus. To proceed further with the research and to promote and better understand the latest technology and practices in water technology management, the University of Applied Sciences has invited a group of seven faculty, scientists and students, who are actively involved in research, to attend a workshop on ‘Modern Methods of Water and Waste Water Treatment’ to be held from September 22 to September 29 at the University campus in Germany. This is the first time in the history of private self-financing colleges in Kerala that an international research project with external funding is taken up and a delegation is visiting the foreign partner. Complete expenses of the delegation is being funded by the foreign partner. said, Dr Pradeep P Thevannoor, vice-chairman, SCMS Group.
Prof M Madhavan, director, SSET, will lead the delegation. Prof Dr C K Rajan, Dr Sunny George, head, CSWTM, associate Prof Sanju Sreedharan, assistant professor Karnapa Ajith and BTech students Charutha and Radhika are the other team members.
