The valedictory function of  Goal 2013, the inter collegiate foot ball tournament  organised by The New  Indian Express was a glittering event with the presence of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Union Minister of state for food and civil supplies K V Thomas, Fisheries Minister K Babu. All India Football Federation vice president KMI Mather and The New Indian Express editorial director Prabhu Chawla.

Sree Kerala Varma College, Thrissur which retained the title received the trophy from Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. The winners also received a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh while the runners up bagged Rs 50000.
