It was a trip down the memory lane for about 500 old students of 1975-85 batch of Maharaja’s College. At the get-together held at the College auditorium on Sunday, the participants reminisced the days they spend together.
The informal meeting started off with paying tributes to the Delhi gang-rape victim who passed away on Saturday. Candles were lit and prayers reverberated in the hall.
This was for the first time that such a get-together of the batch is being organised at the college. Some were meeting each other after several years. To add colour to the event, ganamela was arranged with melodious old songs. Many who were reputed singers of that time also crooned to the tune.
P T Thomas MP and Kerala Agricultural University former vice-chancellor K R Vishwambharam were the chief guests. College principal Mary Matilda, M V Benny, Narayanan Potti and Johnson spoke at the occasion.
