Kerala Tipper Lorry, Tempo, JCB Owners and Staff Federation would start a state-wide strike, the office-bearers told mediapersons in Kollam on Tuesday.
The decision to launch the strike was taken by the state committee meeting of the Federation held in Angamaly on Saturday. Prior to this, a memorandum was submitted to the District Collector, City Police Commissioner and Revenue officials.
If the police, revenue and RTO officials continue to block vehicles and charge fine from the drivers and owners, there will be strong protest.
“The final decision on the strike will be taken at a meeting to be held on Sunday,” Federation president Moonlight Aliyar and secretary Oyoor Naseer said.
