The Thrikkakara police arrested a woman on Friday, accused of fraudulently collecting Rs 50 lakh from 25 people by offering them visas to Malaysia, Singapore and Canada. The accused, Jaya Thomas, 48, is a native of Komalapuram, Alappuzha. According to the police, she deceived people across the state, while living in an apartment in Kakkanad. The police suspect the involvement of more people in the case.
