Programme to promote organ donation

The ‘Hridayasparsam programme’ which  aims to promote organ donation was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Food and Consumer Affairs K V Thomas and Finance Minister K M Mani, both old students of SH College, Thevara, as part of the Heartifest 2013, the annual cultural festival.

The first consent letter for organ donation was signed by college principal Fr Prasanth Palakkappillil who presented it to V Guard chairman Kochouseph Chittilappilly. Students, former students, teaching and non-teaching staff and parents will also sign the consent letter for pledging organs.

K M Mani initiated the ‘Guruvandanam’ programme to honour senior teachers of the college.

High Court judges Ramachandra Menon and Antony Dominic, Kerala Feeds chairman P C Joseph, Federal Bank executive director P C John, Agricultural Tribunal member V V John and college manager Poulose Kidangam were present.
