The Kerala High Court on Thursday granted permission to the state government to withdraw the candidates’ list for the post of the Travancore Devaswom Board Commissioner.
A Division Bench comprising Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan and Justice A V Ramakrishna Pillai passed the order following a submission by the state government that a new list shall be made.
The court also closed further proceedings on a petition challenging the list which includes former IPS official P K Lambodharan Nair.
According to the petitioner, the government prepared the list, comprising three persons, including the former official, without conducting any inquiry into his antecedents.
A crime has been registered against Lambodharan Nair for amassing wealth disproportionate to his income, the petition said.
