The Forward Markets’ Commission (FMC), under the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs, will hold a stakeholders’ meet for rubber, pepper and cardamom participants here on Monday to discuss measures that will help streamline the price and risk management of commodities.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will deliver the keynote address. Union Minister K V Thomas will preside over the function. Central Consumer Affairs Secretary Pankaj Agrawala and FMC chairman Ramesh Abhishek will speak.
The meeting will be attended by representatives of the state and Central Governments, the Rubber Board, the Spices Board, the Producers’ Cooperatives, the Growers’ Associations, members of the National Commodity Exchanges, user industries, bankers, farmers and other stakeholders.
