The police on Saturday arrested a person for sexually abusing his five-year-old daughter, in Cheranalloor. The accused is Sundaresan, 49, of Palassery house, Cheranalloor.
According to the police, he had been sexually abusing her for the past several months. The incident came to light when the employees of her nursery school saw the girl behaving oddly. School officials alerted the Childline officials. During counselling, they learnt that she had been sexually abused by her father for the last several months. Even though the police had quizzed her mother in this regard, she did not know anything.
