Opposition fights for Mayor’s resignation

The LDF on Monday took out a march to the Corporation office demanding the resignation of Mayor and two standing committee chairpersons in connection with the alleged corruption charges.

The march, which began from Menaka Junction,  was blocked by the police in front of the Corporation office.

The Opposition councillors and leaders of LDF  took part in the march demanding the resignation of Mayor Tony Chammany and town planning committee chairman K J Sohan in connection with the alleged lamp post scam.
