The trial run of e-district will be held at all the Akshaya centres before February 10, said District Collector P I Sheik Pareeth. The decision in this regard was taken at a meeting of the e- district Governing Body chaired by the District Collector.
Village officers will be provided with computers within two days. Computers will be given by the state IT Mission.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the e-district project on February 16 in Kakkanad. “Digital signatures of all village officers in the district have been collected. Sub-Collector Bhandari Swagath Ravinder Chand is the officer in charge of the project,” the Collector stated in a press release.
State Informatics Officer Santhana Raman, District Informatics Officer V T Santhosh, Finance Officer Pradeep Kumar, Planning Officer R Girija and Akshaya district coordinator Ibrahim were present at the meeting held in the Collector’s chamber.
