KBS seeks better deal for Tamil Brahmins

A representative of the Tamil Brahmin community in Kerala should be included in the Forward Communities Development Corporation, the Kerala Brahmana Sabha has appealed to the State Government.

A meeting of the state committee of the Sabha held at its headquarters here said that the Tamil Brahmin community had been remaining neglected for a long time. A representative of the community should be included in the Forward Communities Development Corporation to bring about a change in the situation, the Sabha said in a statement. The meeting decided to work in tandem with the other community organisations on the issue of fighting against the move to restrain the government employees from associating themselves with the community organisations. Kerala Brahmana Sabha state president V Ramalingam presided over the meeting which was attended by Sabha vice-president P S Raman, zonal secretaries D D Parameswaran, N R Parameswaran, R Suresh, general secretary Ananthasubramaniam, treasurer K G P Pathy, state committee members and the office-bearers of the district units.
