Trafficking: HC slams police for laxity

The Kerala High Court on Friday expressed dissatisfaction over the delay in the state police handing over to the CBI the case related to human trafficking through Nedumbassery airport. It also directed the state to inform the details of proceedings regarding handing over the investigation and ordered that the Director General of Prosecution himself should appear in the case. Justice S S Satheesachandran passed the order while considering the bail plea of Raju Mathew, suspended SI at the immigration wing of the Nedumbassery airport, who is an accused in the human trafficking case. The Court had granted bail to the accused in Nedumbassery sex racket case.
