“When it rains in the film, you will actually feel the raindrops,” assures Ashokan P K, director of a to-be-released 4D Bollywood film ‘Beyond the Truth’. The film has a very direct Kerala connection. A group of Malayalis are the force behind the venture, which is perhaps the first full-length 4D feature film made in India. The film will also use machine-vision camera. In addition to the three-dimensional imagery provided by 3D films, 4D films will include six types of motions in the seats.
“Water, wind, smoke, rain, lightening and even tickling will be felt by the audience,” said Ashokan.
