Five Saudis suffered minor injuries when the vehicle in which they were travelling met with an accident at Edappally on Saturday.

The incident took place at 9 pm when their tempo traveller rear-ended a lorry carrying wood, after it applied brakes to take a sudden U-turn on the highway. The five were rushed to a private hospital. Four were later discharged. Hospital authorities said the condition of the person admitted is not serious. The police have taken the lorry into custody.
