The annual Maharudra Mahayagnam and the first anniversary rites and rituals of the Sahasra Chandi Yagnam will be conducted on the premises of the Thekkemadom Sri Dharmasastha Temple near Anavathil at Mattanchery from March 16.
The preparatory functions of the Maharudra Maha Yagnam will begin with Prathyaksha Mahaganapathy homam at 5.30 am on March 16. Sri Rudra recital, Kramarchana, homam and vasordhara will be performed on March 17. It will be followed by the Shodasa Mahalakshmi Homam on March 19.
Chandi Aavarana pooja, the recital of Devi Mahatmyam, Chandika Homam, Brahmachari Pooja, Kanyaka Pooja, Suvasini Pooja, Poornahuthy and Vasordhara will be the highlights of the functions on March 20, the Maharudra Committee has said in a statement here.
