Terracotta camp from today

The three-day-long sculptor’s camp ‘Terracotta Camp’ will be held at Radha Lakshmi Vilasam (RLV) College of Music and Fine Arts from Wednesday.

The camp is jointly organised by the students and faculty members of the Sculpture  Department of RLV and Kerala Lalithakala Akademi, Thrissur. It will be inaugurated by Akademi chairman K A Francis. As many as 23 students and faculty members, including K N Hariharan, C C Lipu, Bineesh Gopalan, Suresh R  and V J Robert will participate.

During the camp, individual art forms will be carved by the students and faculty members of the college. The works will be later exhibited on the campus.

The students and the faculty members will get assistance of the professionals like P Kesavan Kutty, V K Rajan and K Narayanan Kutty. The function will be presided over by M Balasubramaniam, RLV College principal.  “Our students are extraordinary. Hence, they deserve the right platform and proper direction to showcase the talent. The camp aims to extend a platform to the students to showcase the talent,” said the Principal. 

The three-day camp will end on Friday.
