A wide variety of disputes may find their way to the Mediation and Lok Adalat depending on the characteristics of the issue, said High Court Judge Thottathil B Radhakrishnan. He was inaugurating the ‘Samannvayam’ Lok Adalat and Mediation session organised by the Ernakulam Law College here on Saturday.
In Lok Adalats and mediation sessions, parties attempt to settle disputes through negotiation. Though some of the features of the Lok Adalat are similar to the mediation process, it is distinct in several ways,” he said.
