The District Sessions Court has granted bail to two persons arrested from Perumbavoor with unaccounted money worth Rs 44 lakh. The accused, Al Ameen, 30 of Coimbatore and Kunju Mohammed, 55 of Karothukuzhy, were ordered to execute bonds of Rs 25,000 each and produce 2 solvent sureties, as condition for bail. The court asked them not to leave the jurisdiction of Perumbavoor police station.
The bail order will come into effect only after seven days and so the duo will be released after seven days. On May 3, police and Directorate of Revenue Intelligence had nabbed them with Rs 44 lakh of suspected hawala money.
