Come this Saturday, the electronica lovers in the city can have a blast with ‘Dualist Inquiry’. Casino Hotel in association with Forum Entertainment brings Sahej Bakshi, the electronica musician and producer, who goes by the stage name Dualist Inquiry to perform exclusively for the lovers of rock, dubstep and lounge besides other genres. The event powered by The New Indian Express will begin from 9pm at Casino Hotel, in Willingdon Island.

Dualist Inquiry is the solo electronic dance project of Sahej Bakshi, who is also a guitarist and composer from New Delhi. He formed ‘Dualist Inquiry’ in 2010. Bakshi, who learned to play guitar at age nine, formed a school rock band with actor-musician Imaad Shah while they were at Doon School in Dehradun. Later after the band split, Bakshi went to California and graduated from the Thornton School of Music at USC in Los Angeles. He has been known to jump styles and create electronica within a dynamic variety of genres and influences.

Once he returned to Delhi, he has been touring India extensively, in addition to being selected to perform at Berlin Music Week in September 2010. He was also ranked #1 nationally in the Burn Sasha Tour remix competition (2010) and was the 2nd Runner Up in the MTV Submerge Ultimate Pro DJ Championship 2010, held at Blue Frog in Mumbai. He was featured in Platform Magazine’s Music special, in the list of ‘6 new acts not to miss’, in addition to being featured in Timeout Delhi, Food & Nightlife and MTV Noise Factory among others. Dualist Inquiry performed at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton UK, opening for international sensation Beardyman and hip-hop legend DJ Shadow at the world famous Brighton Dome. Since then, he has performed at the NH7 Weekender, opening for Basement Jaxx, in addition to headlining SulaFest 2012, closing the night after Nitin Sawhney’s first-ever performance in India. Most recently, Dualist Inquiry was chosen as the only Indian artist to support David Guetta in all three cities of the Eristoff Invasion Festival 2012. Sahej released his debut EP, ‘Dualism’ in June 2011.

Dualism is a concise four track record, which also features collaboration on ‘Qualia’ with Monica Dogra, vocalist of the electro-pop outfit, Shaa’ir & Func. In December 2011, he released his first Bootleg Remix Series as free downloads from his website. In March 2013, Sahej released his debut album ‘Doppelganger’ for free download on his newly formed record label Dualism Records.

So don’t miss this hip performance on Saturday. For details call 0484 3011500.
