All set for Muvattupuzha agri fest

The preparations for the Muvattupuzha Karshikothsavam-2013, to be held here from December 1, is in full swing. The festival will run till December 8. Joseph Vazhakkan MLA laid the pillar for the event pavilion here at a function at EEC market ground on Tuesday.

The state-level agricultural festival, organised by various departments and government bodies of the state government, will take place at EEC Market, Muvattupuzha.

A wide range of exhibition-cum-sales stalls of government departments will be at display at the expo. There will also be cattle breeds, dog and pet show, Aqua show and flower show. Cultural meets and seminars on agricultural topics will be held as part of the fest. On the inaugural day, a cultural possession will also be arranged.

Sub- committees have been formed for organising cattle breeds exhibition, pet show, seminars and cultural events as part of the agricultural festival.

Muvattupuzha block panchayat president Jose Perumbally Kunnel presided over the pillar-laying ceremony at function held at EEC market ground. Former MLA Jonny Nennur andMuvattupuzha Block Panchayat vice-president Seenath Usman  took part the function.
