In connection with World Heart Day, Heart Care Foundation, Lisie Hospital and Cardiological Society of India (Kerala Chapter) will organise a ‘Hridayasangamam’, on Sunday. Patients who underwent bypass surgery along with their families, doctors, nurses and other staff who partook in their treatment helping them to lead a normal life will get together to share their experiences.
Justice Cyriac Joseph will inaugurate the function. The Rajagiri College of Engineering, Kerala Health Mission and St Teresa’s College will join hands by registering for organ donation. Celebrities like Director Siddique and Ranjini Haridas will pledge their organs for donation.
The Life Time Achievement Award of the Heart Care Foundation for the year 2013 will be given to Cardiac Surgeon Dr Girinath on the occasion.
There will be painting competition for students in and around Kochi city. Registration for organ donation, classes, discussions and issue of donor cards will also be held on the occasion.
