Dr Dorjee and his medical team brought about the much needed shower of health and wellbeing by spreading an aura of postivity and spirituality in Kerala. The four-day camp was held at Ashirbhavan in Kochi which lasted till October 24.

The participants got to know the benefits of a unique and effective healing system. Dr Dorjee shared that the essence of ‘Tibetan Medical System’ which is based on noble truth of suffering preached by Buddha. “There is both solar and lunar energy in human body and when there is an imbalance to this, a malady occurs,” he says.

Through natural healing, this medical system builds resistance for complex illness like Chronic Kidney Diseases (CKD) and even cancer. Our body depends on five main elements namely earth, wood, fire, water and metal and according to the tibetan medicine all this elements together should be kept in complete balance and once there is an imbalace, it affects the body with a disease.

“Buddhists believe that suffering is an inevitable part of human life and where there is suffering there is disease. So one can only go through real healing if we understand the real cause of our suffering,” added Dorjee.

“Traditional medicines were intially found out by the great masters without the desire for money and this kind of a healing system can be gained only through a higher learning power and meditation,” he says.

He further said about the “Mar Khrag” which means “Red Blood” in Tibetan language which is the immediate cause for any kind of ailments. In the tibetan medical system, suffering should be treated in a different angle. There are several kinds of pulse like subtle, expanding, thick or even thin pulse, these are correlated and interpreted according to different body pulse rates in this technique. “Restoration is not completely a miracle, but a natural process and thus its advisable to go back to the nature to find the real cause of any suffering and when there is a cause there is an effect too, here we finds the effect and treat it accordingly,” Dr Rapten said.

Tibetan medicine deals with holistic wellbeing of an individual’s mind, body and spirit and therefore its considered to be sacred.

The diagnostic system in Tibetan Medicine is also very different. Dr Dorjee Rapten shared that there are several ways of diagnosing the health issues. However pulse diagnostic system and urine sample observation are two major pillars of Tibetan diagnostic system. This unique medical system is claimed to be providing treatment to many patients.
