'Ensemble 2014' to Begin Today

‘Ensemble 14’, a two-day conference of Rotary District 3201 will begin at the Meridien International Convention Centre here on Saturday. Social activist and retired IPS officer Kiran Bedi will inaugurate the conference.

‘Ensemble 14’, a two-day conference of Rotary District 3201 will begin at the Meridien International Convention Centre here on Saturday. Social activist and retired IPS officer Kiran Bedi will inaugurate the conference.

Issues of contemporary relevance will be discussed at the meet by speakers of eminence. ‘Changing lives’ will be the main theme of the conference.

K R Ravindran, from Sri Lanka, the president-designate of Rotary International for 2015, will deliver the keynote address.

Rotarian Hsu Chang-Hsien from Taiwan will be the guest of honour.

Advisor to the Kerala Government M P Joseph, CEO of AVT Mc Cormick Ltd, Sushma Sreekandath, associate director, Ernst and Young Ltd Rajesh Nair, industrialist Kochouseph Chittilappilly, former district governors Badri Prasad from Bangalore, Surendra Bommireddy from Nellore and Venugopal C Govind will also be present.

Federal Bank MD Shyam Srinivasan will receive the Rotary Award of Excellence along with Commander Abhilash Tomy of the Indian Navy and music composer and performer Stephen Devassy.
