Rajabhasha Sammelan

The All-India Rajabhasha Sammelan was held by the regional office of the Central Bank of India(CBI) here on Friday. Delegates from across the country and representatives of various institutions in Kochi participated in it.

B K Divakara, executive director, Central Bank of India, who inaugurated the function, said that the Central Bank of India has always been a pioneer in the implementation of Official Language Policy of the Union Government and for that the bank has continuously been awarded by the government, RBI and other organisations.  A Aravindakshan, an eminent scholar of Hindi literature and famous author, said that such programmes would help in increasing awareness and interest among general public towards the use of Hindi.

Valsan M, retired executive director, South Indian Bank, and D K Panicker, member, Hindi Advisory Committee, Ministry of Finance, participated in the meeting.M Elangovan, field general manager, welcomed the gathering and C R Ananthanarayanan, senior regional manager, proposed the vote of thanks.
