Corporation Signs EoI for Projects Worth Rs 103 Crore

In the two-day ‘Partner Kerala Summit’ of the state government which concluded on Tuesday, the Corporation signed EoI with private parties for its projects worth Rs 103-crore.

The EoI was signed for five projects - a biomedical waste treatment plant at Brahmapuram, a septage treatment plant on Port Trust land, a premium commercial hub and city centre at Kaloor and a commercial-cum-office complex at Kacherippady and Edappally respectively. Eleven investors, including  local players, signed EoI with the civic body.

The Kaloor bus stand evinced big interest.  Five private bodies - the EMAD builders, SYMA Ltd, Tacheth Ventures, GIREM builders and the Sealand group have signed EoI for it. The septage treatment and biomedical waste plants have got three takers each, with MB Global and Vasco Environmental Services Private Ltd signing the EoI. VM builders ande Sealand group have signed EoI for the Kacherippady and Edappally.

After detailed discussions the investors will be screened and next procedures will be taken. The summit is aimed to give a push to the PPP model investment climate in the state.
