KOCHI: A team of researchers from the Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT), Cochin, has won the fourth national award for Technology Innovation in Petrochemicals & Downstream Plastics Processing Industry (runner up) in the field of Polymer Science and Technology.
The award was presented by Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers Ananth Kumar at a function held at Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi.
Nihal Chand, MoS of Chemicals and Fertilisers, was also present.
The award, instituted by the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers, was presented to the team for their work on ‘Upgradation of Treated Rubber-wood Using FRP Sheathing for Fishing Boat Construction’.
