Madyavirudha Samithi to Take Out Rally on Bar Issue

Justice V R Krishna Iyer will inaugurate the rally organised by Madyavirudha Ekopana Samithi to lay stress on their demand to not reopen 418 sub-standard bars in the state.

Justice P K Shamsudheen will chair the function to be held at Ernakulam Town Hall on Tuesday.

KCBS Madyavirudha Samithi state general secretary Stephen Alathara, KLCA state president T J Antony, KLCA state president Shaji George, literary critic M K Sanu, C K Ramachandran and Kuruvila Mathews will speak at the rally.

The rally along the stretch from Town Hall to High Court junction will be held without creating trouble to motorists and pedestrians, organisers said.

A tableau will be presented during the rally.

A total of 25 organisations which follow anti-liquor policy will line up in the rally.

Proclamation rally was also held on Monday from Ernakulam Town Hall to High Court junction, said general convener Charly Paul.
