Bridge Linking Nettoor, Chilavannur Sought

KOCHI: The demand for a bridge connecting Nettoor junction to Chilavannur Road is gaining momentum.  The Passengers Association of Aroor has submitted a memorandum to  Fisheries, Ports and Excise Minister K Babu urging him to implement the project.     It has been pointed out in the memorandum that the bridge would be of great relief to the public as it would put an end to the  traffic chaos on the Vyttila-Aroor stretch.   “It would also provide easy access to Kochi city through Madavana-Nettoor PWD road,” the memorandum stated.

G K Pillai Thekkedathu, secretary, Kerala Consumer Protection and Welfare Federation, said the only obstacle in the proposal is the displacement of a few families residing on Chilavannur Road. However, it can be overcome if the proposal is brought to the attention of the government,” he said.
