Business Incubator to be Opened Today

KOCHI: The first business incubator of Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) at Kinfra Park, Kakkanad, will be inaugurated by IT Minister P K Kunhalikutty on Thursday at 11.30 am. The facility is coming up in 5,000 sqft area at Geon Air building in Kinfra Park. Benny Behanan MLA will preside over the function. Satyajeet Rajan, Principal Secretary (Industries) and MD, KSIDC, will also be present.

KSIDC.jpgThe incubation centre focuses on IT and electronic startup ventures. KSIDC is facilitating 120 seats for incubatees. Separate cabins and common work stations will also be provided. Already eight startups have been selected and granted space at the centre. The selected startups covering areas of software/mobile application development, interactive game development, e-commerce activity, wireless charging technology, CSR management activity, virtual classroom for teaching practices, enterprise software product development have been tied up with the business incubator.

Companies such as e Datafactors Software Private Ltd, Tutti Frutti Interactive, 3Q mentors, Grabmy Grocery and other individual promoters are setting up startup ventures.

KSIDC also plans to open business incubation  centres at INKEL Complex, Angamaly and at KSIDC’s Industrial Growth Centre, Kozhikode, shortly. Both  will be multi-product business incubators.
