KOCHI: Kindergarten Rajagiri Christu Jayanthi, Kakkanad, emerged winners at the Kids Fest 2014 organised by the Rajagiri Kindergarten. Sacred Heart CMI Kindergarten, Thevara, were the runners-up.
At the valedictory, cine actors Suraj Venjaramood, Honey Rose and Namitha Pramod distributed prizes to the winners.
Fr Joy Kilikunnel, director - administration, Rajagiri Hospitals, presided over the function. Fr Varghese Kachappilly, director, Rajagiri Schools, Shiny Cyriac, headmistress, Rajagiri Kindergarten, Jijo Paul, president, Rajagiri Kindergarten PTA, among others attended the function.
About 1,400 kids from 60 schools participated in 14 different competitions.
A Fun Time programme with ‘Keraleeyam’ as the theme to engage the parents and grand parents was also held as part of the festival. The fest was inaugurated by Fr Jose Cleetus Plackal, provincial and manager. Fr Joy Kilikunnel presided over the function. This was followed by a colorful procession depicting the art forms of Kerala.
