KOCHI: FACT has won the Skoch Renaissance Award 2014 in recognition of its successful implementation of the innovative project of transporting liquid ammonia by barge fitted with bullet tanks.
FACT CMD Jaiveer Srivastava received the award from Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs M Venkaiah Naidu at function held in New Delhi the other day. FACT joint general managers Jacob Kurian and M Sreekumar were also present.
FACT was also appreciated for the successful implementation of three more projects - change over of feedstock from Naphtha to LNG, fuel change over from furnace oil to LNG in the captive power plant and Condensate Recovery System in Melter Area of Sulphuric Acid Plant.
Earlier this year, FACT was presented with the award for the most valuable PSU, India Sea Trade Award and the award for the institution with innovative H R practices.
