KOCHI: Portable vacuum cleaners are becoming a thing of the past, even as Kerala market is opening up its doors to easy-to-use centralised vacuum cleaners which can be fit inside homes and apartments. This, according to automation dealers, is providing a permanent cleaning solution to families who find it a tiresome task to carry conventional vacuum cleaners up and down their three-storey homes.
The centralised vacuum cleaner is equipped with a state-of-the-art central vacuum unit, which is attached as a semi-permanent fixture to a wall at a portion of the house. Several pipes are drawn from the central unit to each and every room in the house which requires to be vacuum cleaned on a daily basis. The number of pipes drawn in each room will be based on the size of the room. The end portion of these pipes can then be connected with the help of a power hose which can be manoeuvered by the user across the room.
“ It has become the next best thing in the market. Families who approach us with the request are willing to shell bucks on the product as it has made cleaning an easy task at their homes,” said Cameo managing director Reji who sells SACH which is committed in selling central vacuum technology.
The cost of the product ranges from Rs 2.5 lakh depending on the number of pipes which require to be connected across the house.
The dust collection bags, which have a large capacity, need only be cleared once in two months. These vacuum cleaners can be used to suck dust from carpets and plain tiled floors. The centralised vacuum cleaner comes in two voltage capacities. “ The 2,400 watt unit centralised cleaners can be used at homes which have a wider metre square width. The 1800 watt unit can be fit for smaller ones,” Reji added.
This technology is the most useful at homes, apartments and hospitals.
