HC Upholds Nod to RJIL

KOCHI:The High Court on Tuesday upheld  the government order granting permission to Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd (RJIL) for drawing optical fibre cables along electric posts in the State for providing 4G service.

Justice V Chitambaresh issued the order while dismissing the petition filed by Cable TV Operators Association and others challenging the order. According to the norms, only one operator should be permitted to draw cables along electric posts. The order of the state will affect the order dated October, 1998 issued by KSEB granting permission to the cable TV operators, the petitioners pointed out.
