KOCHI: The Good Karma Foundation will conduct a seminar on the life and works of Artist Namboodiri at David Hall, Fort Kochi, at 5:30 pm on Friday.

“’Varadhakshina’, as the event is titled, is a tribute to Artist Namboodiri presented through a designer’s eye,” said Lakshmi N Menon of Good Karma Foundation.

At the event, aesthetician and academician Prof S Ajayakumar will speak on the works of Namboodiri. Prior to the event, award-winning documentary ‘Namboodiri Varayude Kulapathy’, directed by Binu Raj, will be screened at 4:00 pm. The memento for Varadakshina has been designed by V K Jayan of Terracraft. When Namboodiri sketches his new work, Tripunithara Krishnadas will accompany him with Edakka and Sopanasangeetham.

In the cultural designer show, Designers’ Collective, a group of well known artists and designers from across the State will present their work Varadakshina Editon. The design will be based on Namboodiri’s finest sketches executed on various fabrics and other medium.

On the occasion, Artist Namboodiri will launch ‘Grandmark’, a trademark to easily identify products created by senior citizens.
