Kerala Cartoon Academy Honour for Anjan Sathish

The Kerala Cartoon Academy will confer ICON of KCA to Anjan Sathish, a native of Tripunithura.

KOCHI:The Kerala Cartoon Academy will confer ICON of KCA to Anjan Sathish, a native of Tripunithura.

He will be conferred this rare honour at the ‘Kuttikalude Kalam’ (Children’s Kalam) function on August 17 at the Ernakulam Town Hall.  Anjan Satish, 28, draws under the nom-de-plume of ‘Anjan’, in spite of being severely physically challenged - he has cerebral palsy that impairs his speech-hearing-locomotive functions considerably - has already bagged Amrita Keerthy Puraskaaram (Amritanandamayi Math) at the age of 8, Rotary International Special Talent Award (2001), Medal in Art at the National Abylimpics, Chennai (2005).

However, his greatest moments were with the then Indian President Dr Abdul Kalam (2006) and at the Kerala High Court in 2009 (The first artist to hold an exhibition inside the High Court and, to get a Full Court Honour).

Anjan learnt 3D animation at the Toons, Thiruvananthapuram. Now, he is a faculty member in art and computer at the Adarsh Special School, Tripunithura.

He is the son of Satheesh and Lethika.
