Imitation Gold Found Abandoned

KOCHI: Around 3 kilograms of ornaments made of imitation gold was recovered from a bag abandoned at railway track near Pachalam on Wednesday. It was in the morning that the railway employees who were cleaning the track found the bag with gold ornaments.

Believing it to be stolen gold ornaments, the employees informed the police. When the ornaments were taken to Ernakulam North Police Station and examined, it was confirmed that ornaments were made of imitation gold.  ENS

“The package of ornaments might have been thrown out from a running train. The statements of the persons who first spotted the bag has been recorded. No one has approached us inquiring about the ornament or claiming its ownership,” police official said.
