KOCHI:The fifth edition of Kerala’s Food Processing and Packaging Exposition - FoodTech Kerala will be held at CIAL Exhibition Centre, Nedumbassery, from May 14 to 16.
The three-day exposition will provide a leading platform for suppliers of processing, packaging and rice milling equipment as well as food ingredients and flavours.
The event is being supported by various trade associations as well as Department of Industries and organised by Cochin-based India
Exhibition and Conference Services Pvt Ltd, a multinational organisation that focuses on upgrading the trade fair business in south Asia.
IECS has been promoting Indian Industry at international trade shows, including those in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Africa and CIS.
The event is being organised in Kerala as the state is home to five of India’s Export Promotion/Commodity Boards including, Spices Board, Coconut Development Board, Cashew Export Promotion Council,
Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) and Coir Board.
The event will showcase developments in technology in these sectors and will bring together technology and suppliers, entrepreneurs and support services on a single platform. The latest technology and equipment for the processing of a wide range of food products will be on display.
Concurrently, the first ever exhibition on Rice and Grain Processing - Rice and GrainTech Kerala will also be held from May 14 to 16, 2015 at the same venue.
The three-day exposition will provide a leading platform for suppliers of processing, packaging and rice milling equipment.
The exposition will open up a two-way channel for the exhibitors and trade buyers and the organisers aim at establishing FoodTech Kerala as the leading platform for trade in the related sectors and to be an annual event for food processing and packaging sector in the state.
