Four Held for Theft

KOCHI: The Kalamassery police have arrested four Tamil Nadu natives on charges of stealing copper cables worth Rs 1.10 lakh from the Kalamassery industrial estate. Rafeez, 23, of Alwar Thoppu, Thiruchirapilly; and Shiva, 19, of Pudukottai, Dindigul, were arrested on Monday, after a CCTV camera captured them stealing the cables. Based on their statement, two underage boys were arrested on Tuesday morning in connection with the crime.

The arrested persons have also been charged with stealing two motorcycles from the Kalamassery area. According to the police, Shiva is accused in a case related to stealing of copper bolts from Appolo Tyres a year ago, and was absconding.
