KOCHI: A court here on Wednesday sent Midhun C Vilas or DJ Kokachi, who was arrested on Monday for alleged possession and consumption of narcotics, to police custody till June 1. According to Deputy Police Commissioner Hari Shankar, the immediate task of the police was to see if the people he named as his source and customers were true. There have been reports about him linking several persons in the film industry to his alleged drug exchanges. The deputy commissioner declined to confirm or deny the reports.
Midhun was arrested after his name was linked to a DJ party organised at Le Meridian Hotel a few days ago, from where police recovered narcotics including hashish-like powder and ketamine. During an inspection of Midhun’s car, police recovered some banned narcotic substances.
