KOCHI: Choice Academy for Teacher Development (CATD), institution to train teachers so that they achieve higher capabilities, affiliated to Cambridge University, UK will be launching a set of courses for graduates and teachers. The Institute is a unique venture of the Choice Group.
The six month certification programme is envisaged to help schools deliver the best education possible by offering the teachers professional and personal development.
Classes will be held twice a week and on successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded the Cambridge International Certificate in Teaching and Learning.
The course will help the teachers to engage critically with relevant concepts and to apply new ideas and approaches.
The academy is led by director Rashmi Vasu and assisted by Sridevi Gopalakrishna, the deputy director. Geetha Chacko is the Programme Leader for the Cambridge PDQ programme. The major focus will be on class observation, mentoring and reflection.
