KOCHI: Pauly Mathew Muricken, a high court lawyer, has been selected for the P Sukumaran Nair Legal Literary Award - 2015, instituted by the Kerala unit of the Indian Law Institute. Muricken was selected for the award for his research paper titled ‘Personal and Indoor Pollution; Legislative Controls and Governmental Measures’, which was published in the Kerala University Journal of Legal Studies.
“The entries were evaluated by a committee comprising Justice P Bhavadasan and Justice P B Sureshkumar. The award carries a cash prize of `25,000 and certificate. The award will be presented at a function to be held later,” said Indian Law Institute - Kerala secretary Susheela R Bhatt. Muricken is currently serving as standing counsel for the NUALS and Canara Bank in the High Court. He is also a member of the Research committee at NUALS.
