KOCHI:  Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar visited the TDM Temple here on Sunday. He was accompanied by Konkani Academy vice-chairman Bhushan Bhave.

The Minister was on a visit to Kochi for unveiling the statue of Appu Bhat Ranga Bhat Vinayak, who has contributed significantly to the ‘Hortus Malabaricus’ (Garden of Malabar), a comprehensive treatise that deals with the medicinal properties of the flora of Malabar, conceived by Hendrik van Rheede.

 The Minister also released a translation of Hortus Malabricus at the function held at Mattancherry.
