Learn to Paint at Colour Academy

KOCHI: Asian Paints, a leading paints manufacturer, has launched Colour Academy, ‘a world class training institution to provide training to youth in the field of modern-age paint application techniques.’

Through this institution, the company aims to empower the applicants with the right set of skills to become employable as professional painting and decorating specialists in the paint industry, a release said here.

Asian Paints’ Colour Academy also builds on the Government of India’s ‘Skill India’ initiative of providing people with training to channelise them for proper job opportunities, the release said. The new ‘Colour Academy’ is located at Edapally at Asari Parambu Road.

The Colour Academy provides training in over eight different vocational courses in different skill sets like basic painter course, interior designer finishes, waterproofing, wood finishes etc. Participants are given theoretical as well as practical training at the academy. This includes training using modern painting equipment, knowledge on paint products and handling material along with awareness on health and safety practices.

The 12-day course also provides candidates with on-site training opportunity of four weeks post the completion of the classroom training and assessment.
